How do I book a Picnik?
Simple. Navigate to Book a Picnik, select your desired date, time and purchase!
What if it rains on the day I scheduled?
Dream Picniks will offer you the opportunity to reschedule for a later date OR “take it inside” (indoor for an additional fee) if there is at least a 50% chance of rain on the day of your picnic.
Where do picnics take place?
Almost anywhere! Picnics can be hosted at the option of the customers home, venue of their choice (hotel, rented space, etc. at customer’s expense) or the option of Romare Bearden/First Ward Park. (All indoor picnics require an additional fee.)
How is food prepared?
All food and beverages are handled using gloves.
Is alcohol consumption allowed?
Unfortunately not. Per Mecklenburg county’s Parks and Rec ordinance, found in Section 37, it is unlawful for any person to possess or consume an open container of alcoholic beverages.
Complimentary champagne given may only be consumed during indoor picniks.
What if I want to add more time?
Notify us 30-60 minutes in advance. You will be sent an invoice based on amount of time extension.
I’m late to the picnic. Can I extend my time?
Yes, but keep in mind picnics start and end promptly. Dream Picniks does not cover costs for late parties. To extend, notify us 30-60 minutes in advance. You will be sent an invoice based on amount of time extension.
Uh oh…I broke something. What next?
Things happen. Unfortunately, if items are found damaged/missing, you will be charged a fee up to the price of the item damaged or missing.
Can I extend my booking overnight?
Parties requesting an overnight booking will be charged a $50 fee. Items will be picked up at 10am, promptly. Any additional time will cost $5 per half hour.
Are children allowed on picnics?
Yes, of course! We at Dream Picniks want to provide a service for all to enjoy. Please be mindful that our little ones can sometimes be a little accident prone. If items are found damaged, you will be charged a fee up to the price of the item damaged.
